166: Your Big One: Weekly Planning for Creative Entrepreneurs
Sep 17, 2024In this shorty episode, I am sharing a thought that has been incredibly impactful for me as of late– something that I believe can transform how you approach your day and week. You've probably heard me (or others) talk about time management and planning, but I want to dive into the concept of a “top three” and a “big one.”
Your daily top three are the tasks that, if accomplished, would make you feel like you’ve moved the needle in your business, but there’s also value in identifying your “big one” for the week—the one thing that, when done, makes you feel truly accomplished!
Listen in as I explore how this focus can make a huge difference, especially for creatives who juggle multiple projects. I also share how it’s been working for me in my own product development and invite you to reflect on what your big one is this week. Let me know what you are working on yourself, and as always, remember that there's room for you!
What's the big one thing that you're accomplishing this week?
Discussed in this episode:
- How to prioritize your "top three" tasks each day to help ensure meaningful progress
- The importance of identifying your "big one" for the week to focus on major accomplishments
- How to create time blocks for your top three tasks and use smaller tasks to fill in the gaps
- Practical examples of how I use this approach in my own product development process

Review of the week:
BONNIE IS THE BEST!
I love hearing what Bonnie has to say, especially in her podcasts! Even though I’m a veteran in the design industry I learn so many new things from her. And she is so encouraging. When I feel discouraged, I listen to one of her podcasts and instantly feel energized and hopeful. She is so easy to listen to. I took her Immersion class last year and got tons out of it. In all the things she takes on, she does it with thoughtfulness, intention, and excellence. Go Bonnie!
