48: Three Simple Strategies to Beat Procrastination
May 09, 2023Do you ever find yourself caught up in the trap of procrastination? In this episode, I’m sharing three simple strategies to help you beat procrastination and get things done so you can overcome procrastination and achieve your goals.
Our focus is our most limited resource,
yet it's also our most powerful.
Discussed in this episode:
- Time blocking: Set aside specific blocks of time for focused work on one project. By identifying how long you want to spend on a task and only doing that one thing for the entire time block, you can get into a state of flow and accomplish more than you might expect.
- Minimizing distractions: In today's world, distractions are everywhere. Try putting your phone in another room, closing unnecessary tabs, and creating a tidy workspace.
- Even with time blocks and minimized distractions, it's important to identify the top three things you want to accomplish each day. These tasks should be reasonable and achievable and will help you feel accomplished at the end of the day.
